The device is a small maintenance machinery used by railway engineering divisions to tamp the railways and turnouts in maintenance and urgent repair of railways . Its gasoline engine drives the crankshaft and connecting rod through dutch which drives the piston and an impact head. The tamping pick generates a downward impact force which vibrates and compacts the track bed ballast, eliminating the twist of track and improving the safety of railway.
