The mechanical test fuse type HPS is used to check the triggering of fuse switch disconnectors.After pulling up the timer, the firing pin is quickly pressed in and the fuse is inserted into the fuse holder of the switch to be tested. After approx. 150 s ± 20%, the safety device trips and the firing pin strikes out. The dimensions of the fuse correspond to those of HV HRC fuses with a nominal voltage of 6 kV. Extension pieces are offered to adapt to fuses of other voltage levels.
